About Finnick
Finnick is goofy and awkward. He is shy of new people, but has a sweet and loving personality with his friends and family. Finny hates the cold, loves the sunshine, and loves to wear hoodies. Finn is the most stylish dog on the block, and has an ever-growing closet of clothing. He is a quick, eager learner who gets very, VERY excited about treats. He enjoys snuggling up on his mom's lap to watch TV in the evening. Finnick has a weird habit of sitting perfectly upright with his eyes closed, like a sleeping statue. He's a little odd.
If you're a Hunger Games fan, you'll know where he got his name! This little guy was named after the District 4 victor. My family fostered a whole litter of puppies in December of 2014, all named after Hunger Games characters. Finnick was the only puppy who didn't get adopted after a few months. This was probably because hairless dogs are not very common in Minnesota due to the cold climate. (Only 2 of the 5 pups were hairless. The fluffy pups were adopted very quickly.) Finnick also suffers from teeth and skin problems -- he gets acne and blackheads, needs to wear sunscreen outside, and is missing most of his adult teeth, which never grew in after his baby teeth fell out. I couldn't stand seeing Finny get turned down by so many potential adopters. Eventually, I realized that he wasn't finding a home because he already WAS home! I'm so glad he became my "foster fail". This little dude makes me laugh every day!
